Our Philosophy
Music is a powerful tool for growth, healing, and connection. The vibrations of sound have proven therapeutic benefits, and research shows that music engages more areas of the brain than any other activity. At Music Is Yours, we create engaging, goal-oriented music therapy experiences that foster self-expression, social connection, and personal growth.
The Power of Music Therapy
At Music Is Yours, we use evidence-based, adaptive music therapy to foster growth, self-expression, and connection. Our sessions are designed for individuals and groups in day programs, cultural centers, and specialized spaces. We incorporate instrument play, singing, movement, and songwriting to support social, emotional, and cognitive development. Rooted in humanistic, psychodynamic, and behavioral science approaches, our methods meet clients where they are and guide them toward meaningful progress.
-
Music Is Yours provides adapted, evidence-based music therapy for individuals and groups within day programs, recreation programs, cultural centers, and specialized therapeutic spaces. Each session is designed to:
Enhance social, emotional, and cognitive development
Improve self-esteem and peer interactions
Foster self-awareness through musical engagement
Through instrument play, singing, movement, dance, songwriting, and improvisation, we create an enriching environment where growth and transformation can take place.
-
Music therapy opens doors to self-discovery and positive change. Studies show that music is second only to food as a human reinforcer, making it an incredibly powerful tool. At Music Is Yours, we harness this power to help individuals develop new skills, express themselves, and connect with others in meaningful ways.
-
Our methodology blends humanistic, psychodynamic, and behavioral science approaches, ensuring that each session is tailored to meet individuals where they are and guide them toward growth. By creating a safe, engaging, and adaptive space, we empower clients to explore, express, and evolve through music.
Let’s create meaningful change—one note at a time.
